I had originally called this painting, before it was finished, Healing Journey as I did feel healed by my three weeks in that beautiful country. However, in light of recent events, I have re-titled it, This Too Shall Pass. And also finally finished it.
This Too Shall Pass is 18" x 36" on canvas. I don't just see my own personal journey in this painting anymore. Now I see a much broader vision. Although change is the only constant, brighter days can be counted upon and looked forward to, even through some of the darkest hours.

“THE HANGING TREE AT MAZEL ARIEH”
One of the joys of being in Israel last year was exploring the beautiful little pedestrian lanes of Old Jaffa. This was one of my favorite ones. The hanging tree is a sculpture created by artist Ran Morin in 1993. It hangs suspended from wires as if floating from a seed pod. A beautiful welcome to a lovely little corridor filled with charming shops, residences, and galleries.
