FIVE COMMISSIONS DELIVERED TO NAPLES COLLECTORS
Yesterday was such a great day—the kind of day that makes my heart swell and grow one size larger. I had the honor of delivering five commissions to one home in southeast Naples. The clients had met me back in February at the Naples National Art Festival and purchased a sea turtle painting from me. They loved it, and when I visited their home to deliver the piece, they decided to commission an additional five paintings to grace their beautiful home. What an honor!
One of the pieces was an impressive 84 inches tall by 80 inches wide—an octopus based on my previous painting Lyrical Blue. It was destined to be the centerpiece of their magnificent foyer. To complement Mr. Octopus, a diptych was planned for across the hall in a motif of sea kelp and seahorses.

For their bedroom, to coordinate with the sea turtles they purchased last year, I designed a dolphin trio in the same monochromatic tones, along with a stingray painting for over their bed.

I worked on all of these commissions, as well as others, over the spring, summer, and even into the fall months. When I left yesterday morning with all five paintings in my van, ready to show them to the clients for the first time, the anticipation was almost excruciating—almost impossible to bear! The clients had not seen any images of the finished paintings. Typically, I do send photos and videos, but this time I felt it would be more special to do a big reveal. I was confident in all of the paintings, so I just let it roll.
I was not disappointed. The paintings were so well received, and, as I said, it made my heart fill up with love and joy. There really is no greater experience for me than giving love and inspiration to others, and I put so much love into my paintings. When people see that and appreciate it, it’s just magic. Wow. What a great day.
But now those are delivered, and it’s time for me to work on the next commissions in the lineup! They’re already starting to stack up for winter delivery, so if you’d like to commission a painting and have it delivered this winter, please reach out as soon as possible. I love making beautiful art for wonderful people!
